Bought a damaged Welsophyllia, - advice

So I bought a Welsophyllia today that has lost some of its tissue, it was really cheap so I went for it. Well, it has lost some of its flesh around the edges but that was a long time ago according to the LFS guy. (the skeleton is very dark so..) The remaining flesh has healed up, so the next step for it would be to re-grow out on the skeleton. My question is then, can I help it somehow? Like, by feeding it on a regular basis
I can see that it has nice potential to be like a rainbow form of color. It has some nice green, some purple, a tiny bit of dark red and some lighter marks as well

Will post a pic tomorrow, the blue evening lights are on now so no use to even try take a pic

Yep...feed that baby. Once the lights go out..you'll likely see the feeders come out.

I nursed a bleached out wellso back to health with regular feedings and in my case, a bit less light since mine was bleached.

I feed mysis to mine, but it does take less these days since it's more healthy. Keep an eye out for any critters in your tank that may want to come over and steal it's food, I found a tupperware that I used to keep them away while it ate.

I placed it on my fragrack, man, no room for any more frags! Well, its big and "fluffy" and seems happy (been in the tank for 2-3hrs but..yeah) It has a pretty vivd color although so hope it will heal up over the skeleton, then it will be a monster! :dance:

I would take it off the frag rack and put it on the sand in the shade, the rack or even putting it on rocks can cut the flesh. Plus those don't take kindly to high light like you have around your frag rack, especially when they're not doing well. Just put it on the sand and throw pellet food on it and it'll be good in no time

Thank you. Okey, then I'll consider put it on the sand, it's just that it's a 60cm high tank so it would be easer to feed on the rack. But everything for the corals health
I'll post a pic of it tomorrow, so I can document its progress

No absolutely not, most of the pieces in that thread is on the brink of death, mine just has to grow a bit to be fine. Already healed
