bowfront photography?

ive heard that macros with a bowfront is somewhat difficult due to the bent glass warping the image and whatnot.

is this true? i assume there are a few people here with bowfront tanks and i am debating getting one here soon (prolly a 72) but i also like taking pictures of the inmates (couldnt think of a better word,)

any advice would help.

Yes it is true. I also will not have a bow front because I wear glasses and the bow front messes with my vision.

i only have a 20L now and really want somethin a little bigger.
i just LOVE the way the bowfronts look.

I vote for 90g. The same dimensions as the 72bow, without the bow.

I don't know how big you are looking to go but I have been happy with the Red Sea Max which is 34 gallon all-in-one. It is glass with curved corners and is flat on the front and sizes. NOT a bow.

ive had a bowfront, and freshwater maybe, but a reef, forget about it. Distorts everything, even when just looking at it. If you have any interest in photography move on. Otherwise, youll have to shoot from the short sides, or over the top.

im leaning towards a 65g. 36"x18"X24" (i think)
i havea 20L now, which this tank would be completely opposite being so tall, but its a nice tank. maybe a 75, but might be too long.

The bowfronts you guys have seen must have a sharper bend than mine (6' 240 gal). I don't see much in the way of distortion unless I try to take a shot at an angle to the panel, and that is more due to the thickness of the acrylic when trying to take an angled shot.
