Bowl Feeding

Ive noticed some threads mentioning bowl feeding for smaller tridacnas. I feed my whole tank phyto a couple times a week but it is very difficult to spot feed my maxima without startling it. How do you bowl feed, how long, and how often?

Let me try to put this question to rest.

We use to bowl feed the juvenile but stopped a few years ago. If you have a good fish load and feed then fairly good then I would say you don't have to feed but if you like to suppliment, it won't hurt. IMO & IME

I agree, don't need to bowl feed it, I got a small maxima about 2 years ago about 1.5" I still have it never bowl feed it, just feed the tank with DTs or other phyto (I use Kent)

I would say it wont hurt, AS LONG AS IT IS NOT OVERDONE. I think people tend to be overly generous with phyto feeding, which can really bump the hornets nest.
