Brain Coral Spawning ???????

i have a red/green brain. tonight i witnessed this brain
shooting a white cloud out of one of its vents. right after
that i observed one of the other vents shooting out
something that looked like waste. it was brown in color
and was in small chunks.
i witnessed the white cloud from the vent 3 times and the
brown stuff 3 times also and was in sucession . white cloud
then brown stuff and so on , 3 times .they both came from
different vents on the top of the brain and came out
with pretty good force. like a clam shooting water out of it.
that kind of force.. the white cloud was about the
size of a quarter and then dispersed into the water column.
any ideas ? was this some kind of spawn i witnessed ?
they only activity on or around this brain was me blowing
sand off of it with a turkey baster prior to this behaviour.

its a night shot so it not expanded as normal.

I had a welle do the same thing and a knowledgeable reefer friend of mine asked about it and the report was a spawning. I have not seen anything grow, probably because of the filtration taking it all out but i was told that if i had some frag discs in there they would most likely attach and i would have some new brains growing. I expect i would have to tame down the circulation as well to acheive this. So far it has not done this again.
