What type of lighting do Brain Coral's need to thrive? I have a 12G (origional) nano-cube with the stock lighting and I was curious if this is enough to support any species of Brain Coral?
Thanks,
-Simon

Wow, wonderful...is it because the tank is so small it doesn't need super powerful lighting, or is the stock lighting for an origional 12G good?

What LPS should I not be able to keep with it?

I don't know anything about the lighting on your 12 gl.
A brain can expand very large for a 12gl tank. Don't let anything to close to it that may sting it. There is a long list of corals that can sting a brain.

It comes with 1x24 Watt Compact Fluorescent Lighting (if that helps).

I have read that Brains need atleast 3 watts per gallon of light, that's why I asked...If they could survive under 24 Watts in a 12G then great...if not, then oh well.

Any more input?
