Brain damage

I damaged one of my prized wellsophyllia specimens today. It is about 12 inches across when inflated, that is, the skeleton measures 8 inches across. It got hit with very direct, high pressure water flow. It peeled a layer of tissue off of the ridge of one of the lobes. The tissue is missing completely in an area about 1/2 inch in diameter.


my question is can it be saved? What is my best action at this time?

It will probably heal up fine,but might not expand as much as it has been. I once teared a huge hole in a big wellso and it healed but was never as beautiful.
