Brain parasite ?

Hi

I got this brain a week ago.
There was a whitish spot on the side, and doesn't seem to open up well there.
Seems to be some kind of worm or other critter burrowed inside the skeleton. Comes out at night, and is light sensitive.

Pics kinda looks like a tube, but it is more like flat and wide and curled up to fit into the hole.

Wondering if I should dip it in fresh water ?

Thanks,
-mike

don't freshwater dip... LPS can't take the F dips like other corals can...

If that was my coral i would epoxy over the hole and call it a day

Really hard to tell, and theres prolly hundreds of worms/snails, but appears from my very limited knowledge to be a peanut worm, or at least looks very similar. If so, from what I've read and experienced personally totally harmless.Could be wrong though, even so I'd still guess it to be harmless to the coral.
