Brains not expanding

I have two Scolymia (one red and green and one just green) that have yet to fully open (I've had them several months now.) They're not receding on their skeletons, but they're also not expanding fully. Any ideas what could cause this?
I have a Welsophylia that also isn't opening, but I credited that to my Sailfin tang attacking him when I first put him in the tank (he had opened then.) The fish has a few areas eaten down to the skeleton, but the brain is still hanging in there and starting to grow back over the damaged areas. However, he too is not expanding like he should.
Could I possibly be missing some kind of nutrient in my tank?
I tried new locations for the corals, but read that moving them just stresses them out, so I stopped that.
Any help you can offer would be appreciated.
Thanks

I have the green Scolymia and the Welso on the sand and the other Scolymia just above it on the rock. I'm beginning to think it's not a placement issue, but rather something that I'm lacking in my chemistry. I just don't really know what that is and what I should start trying. Luckily they're not dying, but they're certainly not flourishing either.

I have the same problem only mine (both) on the same day after about a year stopped inflating. I saw my royal tang nipping at one. Someone suggested that the tang was not getting enough veggies in the diet. This may have been true becuse I was feeding just myssis most of the time for my coperband. Any way i have increased the veggies and he's leaving them alone but they have yet to respond. They don't look so good I can't figure out what changed to cause this I plan to tag along and maybe someone can help us.

Update: The two scolymias did eat last night when given food. The green one plumped a little during his meal, but the green and red one did not. The Wellso may, or may not, have eaten. I saw a tang going with a peice of food which may have been his. He, however, has yet to plump.

I did increase the amount of nori that I'm feeding the tangs. Other than stealing the corals' food, they're not hurting the corals right now.

Any other ideas on how to get them to plump? Anyone? :)
