The stage of disappointment has passed ... I went to check and found that although I reduced the photos, when uploading to Google Photos, it was the normal photos, not the reduced ones. Strange is that the site does not criticize the size of the photos and allows you to attach large photos. There should be a warning or just not allowing the photos to be attached ... I think I'll be able to put the reduced photos now ...

As I reported, the algae I acquired arrived without any care in the selection, so I expect many losses. But I think the environment is relatively stable and mature to receive them.
I hope a good part survives this first moment ...

My intention is to put fish last, unless I find the ones I want, easily. I want to first try to stabilize the introduced macroalgae, then invest more in cleaning staff and only last add fish.
My preference is for Salarias fasciatus, Royal Grammna, Percula Clown, Elacatinus oceanops, E. figaro, and Dragonets.

I asked because I didn't see any, and adding fish will help your plants.

Two things I read today very interesting were: fish are interesting to make food available to the macroalgae, and the chaeto compete for nutrients with the others - something obvious but I had not awakened to this! I have chaetos in the refuge and they are developing very fast - they will have another destiny soon!
Right! The plants need their food. You can add fish and fish food to feed them or you can dose different nutrients. Fish are more fun!

Sorry to hear you lost most of your macros. The same thing happened to me, when I first started my tank. I was doing my best to keep nutrients low, to prevent an algae outbreak. My macros kept shrinking until they were gone. Then I added the blennies, and fed them well. Cyanobacteria outbreak. Three months later, tiny macros started popping up around my tank! It took a while, but eventually my tank conditions were ready for the macros to flourish.
Have you removed the chaeto? Have you started feeding the tank fish food? Have you added any snails or pods? How about a fish or two? Do all that and things should improve. Right now your tank is like a flower pot with no dirt. It's clean and nice, but no plants will grow. Get it dirty!

Dear, few but important news ... The red macroalgae are sprouting! At least three that I planted in different locations of the tank are showing small red shoots. My choice was to move as little as possible, but I will do a very discreet pruning to remove what is dead. Overall the tank is quite filamentous, but nothing that frightens me, because I still have virtually no cleaning staff. I'm just letting things happen ...

Very cool! You're proving that, even without easy access to the things you need or want for your aquarium, you can still be successful! Bravo!
Hopefully, as your macros grow, the micros fade away. That's what happened in my tank. If you could acquire just a few Cerith snails, they will reproduce, and eat a lot of algae.

Can not wait to do this, Michael! They will certainly do a beautiful job as soon as they enter the tank. I intend to buy Berghias too - I can get it from a reputed store in a large center here.
I'm in a little bit of a rush too because it's vacation time and I've been away from home for a few periods. I am therefore avoiding increasing population and not being around to follow, not to mention that the heat here is very difficult ...

Do you have aiptasia anemones? I saw none in your pics. I ask because berghias eat nothing but aiptasias, so if you don't have one, you don't need the other.

There's a real jungle, Michael, practically the same as yours. But as my cell phone camera is quite limited, you can not tell. Even though they have the color very similar to filamentous, they are very well camouflaged.

Got it. I can't take a pic WITHOUT aiptasias in it! Believe it or not, I have fewer now. It's not so much like a jungle now-more like scattered patches of them.
They seem to have the ability to blend with surroundings. I had one on some blue hypnea, and it was blue!

I can say that progress is happening. But not at the pace I'd like.
A few days ago my vacation ended, I traveled for the entire period, and the aquarium was only in the hands of the fresh water tank and the UPS.
Nothing abnormal has happened and although there are many filamentosas, as the aquarium is still without a proper cleaning team, I think things are going at the pace of mother-nature ...
This week I should finally be able to get snails nishi and a shrimp dancer to deal with the aiptasias.
I can say that progress is happening. But not at the pace I'd like.
