Break down to reset.

Ok I finally had it with the bubble algae. It's spread too much to try to continue to fight it off so I got a new tank going it's cycled and ready to start the transfer of fish and clean frags to start over. So I want to break down the current tank completely rid myself of this crap and reset the tank in a much more organized way as far as cords and plumbing is concerned. The question I have is drying the tank out enough? Vinegar? What's the best way to make sure I don't break this down only to have it resurface? Thanks for your help.

I would scrub it out with vinegar myself. Restart with all dry rock. I had a great experience with BRS Reefsaver dry rock. The Pukani is loaded with phosphate from what I hear, but the Reefsaver didn't treat me too bad. Then all you have to do is be sure you don't add any future pieces of rock/coral with bubble algae sticking to it.
