Yes, it's your long lost fellow reefer Cass. Some of you have heard me wine about a hard lesson learned after a major lapse in judgement. (I took the advice of a club member and added a "harmless" sea urchin to my display. That darn thing scratched up my display beyond belief! The adherent coraline is now impossible to remove and I can't see the majority of my display.) :blown:
After a year of pouting about extensive damage to my display, I've decided to fix it. The universal advise has been to tear down the display and have the inside of the tank buffed. I have a week off and want to do so.
The problem ... I've never taken a tank completely down. Help!!!
I have a 180-gal + sump. I have two, 40-gal Rubbermaid bins on wheels that will not handle my water volume. In addition, there's a fair amount to LR with good coraline & a few softies attached, live sand, and 9 fish. Rendos mentioned (a few months ago) it might 2 days to have the tank buffed.
All advice is welcomed. Is there such a thing as an "easy" way to do this?
I am ready to get back to reef keeping and enjoying my display!
Thanks,
Cass
