how old are your breeding pairs? does anyone know how long they will continue to lay eggs?

My first pair of fish I purchased when I started with salt water was a pair of Ocellaris back in 2001 & they spawn every 2 weeks.

how old are your breeding pairs? does anyone know how long they will continue to lay eggs?

My pair is 5-6 years old but I've had them for almost a year. They belonged to another hobbyist before I adopted them. They stop spawning when I decrease their feeding or when they feel threatened by an aggressive tank mate. Other than that, they love to lay eggs.

My breeding watchmans and mandarins are about a year and spawn every 2 to 3 weeks

I have had a pair of maroons for over 15 years, and they are still laying eggs. They actually just did a couple of days ago.
