I have had a maroon clown (2-2.5 inches) for two years and was thinking of getting her a mate. Do you think that this is even possible to put a small clown in and have it live? this is an established reef tank so i dont want too much agression. can anyone lead me in the right direction

thanks

Put the large maroon in a clear hanging basket when you add the smaller maroon. Let them see each other, get close but not touch for a couple of days.
Usually
works.

What will happen if you successfully form a pair is that they will grow, eventually want to spawn and then absolutely terrorize your 75 gallon tank. They will own it and you will wonder what the heck happened to your nice, calm & ralaxing aquarium  Then you will be desperate to find someone like me who will kindly take them off your hands, ( but not offer money for them), breed them and profit from all the work you did establishing and feeding the pair. :D

FWIW we love people like you, TIA :smokin:

In all seriousness that is pretty much what will happen. Not saying it's a bad thing, just a likely outcome.

yeah that is prob the out come no doubt and they do get big basically everyhting you said was right. How about i just give you my female now and give you the money to buy the male i figure this will save me at least 500 dollars in coral and food.

PS: Nice rotifers
