First off....Im really sorry about the low quality pic, but I saw two of these little guys crawling around my tank (of course between the rock and glass where I can reach!). They are an inch or so long, light red/pinkish on the top 3rd then it turns dark purple (like a bruise) the back to the pink color.

I looked around and get conflicting info and was hoping to hear some opinions regarding the coloring, i.e "yes thats the coloring of a fireworm/bristleworm" I will try to trap them and get a better pic, but if they are harmless I'd rather let them be.

Thanks!
Jason

Common bristleworm. You probably have dozens of them. They are harmless and actually beneficial, eating leftover foods and decaying matter.

Geeesh greenbean...I apologized in advance!!!!!!:D Seriously, Thanks to both you for the replies. So far Ive been of the opinion that "good" hitch-hikers are a myth like bigfoot& Nessie!! Im only 5 weeks into my tank and Ive already had to fight aptasia and I just saw my 1st flatworm:mad2:

Thanks again
