Bristle Worms and Anemones

They benefit the tank...
Unless your anemone is decomposing, I dont think a bristle worm would ever bug a nem.

I have many bristle worms and never had a problem

Thats what I thought...my friend just wanted to know because he had one and he had anemones and he didn't want his anemones to be harmed. He didn't believe me so I posted. Thanks.

The friend is me, i have about a foot long one in my nano. So thats a good thing? I dont know much about them since they are so scary looking.lol

Even the large ones usually don't bother things unless they are already dead or dying.
I just noticed 3 giant ones in my 55 gal that went after a disgarded silverside, that have been there for at least 3 years and I haven't noticed them doing any damage.
I'm sure you know not to touch them with your bare hands. I accidently touched a tiny one a few weeks ago while taking algae out of my fuge. Although I usually don't have much of a reaction, this one raised a blood blister on my finger the diameter of a pencil that lasted about a week.

Thats why my middle finger was swelling up. I touched one not to long ago and the bristles stuck to me and recently my finger has been in pain but going away fast. I wondered what happened to my finger but now I know.

I have a 14" Eunicid as well as many, many 6"+ Amphinomids and hundreds of smaller ones that have NEVER touched or bothered my anemone. It all depends upon the species or particular family of the worm and whether or not the potential prey animal is in good condition or not.
