So tonight my whitetail Bristletooth tang is being extremely aggressive to my butterfly fish. It’s odd since I’ve had the butterfly for about a month now and at fist the tang chased around the butterfly but after a few days he seemed to accept his new tank mate. Fast forward to tonight and he’s really being as aggressive as I’ve ever seen sucking on his body and chasing him all around. I can tell the butterfly is extremely stressed. I chased the tang around the tank with a net to tire it out and distract him. Any ideas? We are new to this and heard of mirrors so trying that

Kind of odd it’s showing up later but it’s not unheard of.
If possible, you could try rearranging the tank so that new territories have to be established.
I’ve also heard of the mirror trick as well.
