Broken 6025 tabs

Roger,

I've got (2) 6025's where the tabs have broken off of the c-holder. Let me know how to handle. They are about 1-2 months old.

Thanks

Marc

PM Roger (rvitko) with your name, mailing address and what you need and he will get you taken care of. I believe he is out of them right now but will have more next week if I recall.

Sorry if I am hijacking this thread, but I too have this issue! Is this like a known problem? Are they really that easy to break? I thought maybe I was too tough with them and therefore was an idiot. I actually have TWO that have done this to me (6025's) and was thinking of trying to glue them back together. As they are now, they kind of just clank around on the glass cus they have nothing holding them in place. Kind of like a do it yourself wavemaker... ;) Again sorry for tagging along in this thread but I thought it was pretty cool that I'm not the only one with this issue!!

It was a known issue with the original design, not all by any means but more that tunze would have liked. The old ones were made of Lexan the new with Luran which is more flexible. The while super strong Lexan was susceptible to becoming brittle when molded slightly too hot. Also the tabs on the new are thicker as well.... Just shoot Roger a PM with your info and what happened.

I have to say, you guys here at Tunze are just awesome when it comes to customer service. Tunze really benefits greatly by having you here as the face of their company on RC.

Roger,

I too have a broken clip on 6025 model and I just PM you.

Please let me know.
Thanks for your help.

Michael

Don't superglue them as the arms may break and it makes it more difficult, the clip was changed about a month ago and I think the new clip will permanently resolve this issue.
