Broken 6100 parts

The powerheads were running well for roughly a year. These were bought new. After the weekly clean up, I turned off the powerheads.

When I turned it on, I heard this really annoying beeping sound. I couldn't figure out what it was and I gave up.

Today, I turned on the halides and plug in the powerhead again. I noticed, nothing was spinning inside. I saw the white part of the shaft. I took the powerhead out and unscrew the screen and found the shaft snapped.

So what do I need to do? How do I get it fix?

Normally a broken shaft happens when something enters the pump and that is not uncommon if they are off for a while. Snails and hermits crawl in and when the pump starts the shaft hits them and breaks. The shaft can be replaced seperately, you just undo the brake shoes as shown in the manual and unscrew the prop and remove the bearing shell from the shaft, all these parts are installed on the new shaft. The manual shows how, if you need a copy I can send one. The shaft is part 6080.64 and they run $7.22 The easiest way to order one is on Tunze.com. We have them in stock.
