Broken pump on 9015?

Hello Roger,

I was directed here by one of the guys in my local group. I'm borrowing a 9015 to skim the crud out of a tank I'm breaking in, but the motor won't run. I tried making sure the fittings were all in place, and I downloaded the users manual. Per its suggestion, I soaked it overnight in s vineagar:water mixture, and then pulled the impeller out of the motor itself. When I did that, I saw this:

It is a little difficult to see in the picture, but it appears as though a part of the rubber lining of the housing has buckled and come out from the side. Could this prevent the impeller from turning? I'm pretty sure the motor is trying to turn, since it gets warm when plugged in, even though it's not pumping any water.

Thanks very much for any help you can give me!

This was a problem on pumps made in early 2007, the plastic formula was just changed from what we used from 2000-2006 and the new formula gave us some molding issues with how it cooled, we changed to a different formula and new molding process after about 6 weeks when we realized the problem. The plastic formed layers as it cooled and the layers would seperate and fold over each other. The motor needs to be replaced, send it in and we will replace it-

OK, sounds good. Is there anyone I should address it to in particular? And how do charges for parts/labor work?

Shouldn't be any charges, just send it in. It is myself and two other guys here and I do all the repairs.
