Broken shell bearing on a 6000 Stream

Roger,

I just broke the shell bearing on my 6000 stream. It was jammed with CaCO3 so I used a slotted screw driver to try and remove it. The bearing came partially off but the center post remained inside the impeller. Can I order a new bearing or should I order a new impeller? Can I get these directly from you?

I just looked at Tunze's site and I don't think I need the shell bearing. The part I think I need is 3000.610 (picture linked below), which is called the upper bearing. My impeller is the three part one described in your thread on cleaning.

You can order just the bearing, ordering from tunze ships from Texas for parts

Just an opinion if anything else looks worn or needs replaced I would order the "new" style 1 piece impeller which replaced the type you have a few years ago. There is a chance just due to age it could be getting close to needing replaced. Many dealers stock this part as well as tunze.com
