Just got the Longnose Butterfly in this weeekend... (searching for GF's digi camera AGAIN*!) about 2 " long from nose to tail. he has been at the LFS for about 3 weeks and no one would take him... prolly cause HE HAS A CROOKED NOSE
his nose is turned slightly to the left...enough for you to be able to tell the difference while viewing the fish from the front or the rear...to me that makes him DIFFERENT
i have been keeping an eye on this fish while it was at the LFS. before i brought him home i asked to see him eat cause i was wondering if the broken nose might be having an impact on his eating habits. they fed some brine... he mostly looked at it ~sigh~... then i remembered the mysis was more his flavor.... i requested another sample. he ate a few....that was enough for me...bagged em up and took this Brokenose Butterfly home... He has been in the tank for about 4 days now and has quickly moved to be my favorite fish in the ocean. He picks around the rocks and sand all day. and since he is pooping...i know he is digesting well... i hope this turned nose will not have long term effects on the fish... i hope the other school fish dont tease him
