a friend of mine recently added two fish with proper qt measures. The tank has a bad brook problem and most is lost. three damsal remain. How long before the tank can be restocked?
If possible remove the damsels (if they survive). I have seen 4-6 weeks without fish recommended but I doubt this advice is backed up by a study. I would feel comfortable adding fish after 8 weeks.
Hopefully your friend will invest in a QT when he restocks.
