Brook or Velvet?

So I posted a thread awhile ago about my clowns having something. I figured either brooklynella or velvet, but with my research I couldn't find a definite answer. I didn't want to start treating for one then have it be the other. Anyways, I came home from my cabin trip this weekend and both clownfish are now dead. My pylei wrasse is still living, so I want to treat it before that fish goes to if at all possible. With the picture below, could someone tell me whether it is one or the other? Ask any questions needed and I will answer.

TIA!

Most likely Brook. I looked up your original thread about this, and it was posted over a week ago. If this were Velvet, nothing (including the wrasse) would have probably survived this long.

Sorry for the unclear picture Steve.

I guess I will go ahead with treatment for brook on the wrasse and see how it does. It isn't looking good right now, a little skinny. Also looking like it is starting to get brook on it now.

Formalin dip, done in a heavily aerated bucket, should provide some immediate relief.

I don't think the wrasse is going to make it much longer. I found it out of hiding when I turned on a powerhead to add more gas exchange. The white patches are getting to be like what the clowns had... If it is still living tomorrow after I get the last bit of supplies needed for a formalin dip (my airline tubing and air stones are gone) I will try.

I already have Quick Cure on hand from my newbie FW days. :)

Didn't make it through the night. :( Prepared for this if I get it again I hope.

Quick Cure usually works in a pinch, but because it has a lower percentage of formaldehyde solution it can take longer to work & require more dips.

Formalin-MS is 37% formaldehyde, so it works faster. Foster & Smith usually carries it, it must be on back order like apparently everywhere else I looked.
