My clownfish had what I think was brooklynella. I treated them with formalyn for 4 days, they recovered and I put them back in the main tank only to watch them come down with brooklynella again.
I have placed them in the QT and treated them again. They are doing well. I plan on leaving them in QT for 4 to 6 weeks now.
I have other fish in my main tank that all seem to be unaffected and doing great. I have a hippo tang, yellow tang, male watanabei angel, clown fairy wrasse, orange lyretail anthias, banded cave goby, neon cleaner goby, an LTA & a RBTA, 2 cleaner shrimp, 7 peppermint shrimp, 2 sea cucumbers, anemone crab, 2 porcelain crabs, lots of hermit crabs & assorted snails, etc. This is all in a 110G tank with about 200G total volume.
I have turned on my UV sterilizer.
My question is: Will the brooklynella remain present in my main tank? Will the other fish be carriers even if they are not affected by it? How do I know if and when it is safe to put my clownfish back into my main tank?
Thanks, Jim
