brow algae on tenius.

Hey rc, like the title says i have brown algae on my sps and i want to know from experience if its a flow issue or water quality issue. My alk is extremly consistant at 8. Nitrate zero, and phos a little higher at 0.07. I just replaced gfo. The blue tenius i have is helpless at recovering from algae on the tips. I need help. Thanks

Hard to tell but it looks like you have quite a bit of bleaching on the tips and algae is growing on it? Is that a power head to the left? Seems rather close and a direct shot at that piece.

+1...that looks like a maxi-jet blasting that coral with very linear flow that is detrimental to any sps...

I believe that coral bleaching has a friction because the output of the pump to be very close.

Remove it from this site and place on the substrate to give a recovered.

I hope it's not too late for coral to recover.
