Brown algae

I'm very new at this my first saltwater tank it's been running for 5 weeks is that normal . I also used tap water not sure what to do help:worried: brown algae is bad is that part of the cycle.

it is normal in a new system but using tap water in a saltwater tank is going to mean you'll likely always be dealing with algae issues of some form. your next purchase should be an rodi system.
