I have a 40g with a 20g sump with filter sponge, sock, old Aqua Euro Skimmer, phosban reactor, refugium, and Chem-Pure. My parameters are pretty good, though I am not disciplined with cleaning my sponge and sock.
Eight days ago I treated for a little red slime which I was told by lfs that would also make brown algea go away. But it remains on the sand bed and glass. What do I need to do? I can clean my glass everyday.
I think I need a better skimmer SWC maybe
