all over eveything, if you remeber im new to Saltwater but i have algae all over the place. im running some phosphate bag in my sump. whats the deal?

What kind of water are you using and how long has the tank been running.

It is probably just part of the ride and will go away as the tank matures past 2 months.

well the water was tap to start but then i used prime but is been up for about a month. light have been on in for a week now.

If you are not using RODI water, your headed for a long and fustrating time.

Please provide some tank information in your signature. This will help others help you.

Everything starts with water quality. Typically, tap water will fuel all kinds of unfavorable algae. In your case, expect to see the following:

1. Diatoms (brown algae, dusting on glass and sandbed)
2. Cyanobacteria (blue-green algae covering sandbed and rock) This occurs in any high nutrient tank
3. Hair algae

You will ALWAYS have one form of algae in your tank, but you must make conditions favorable for the more desireable types such as coraline algae.

no i used tap to fill the aqarium and then used prime but ive only used RO water since then, i have a 75 gal with a 20 gal sump i want to build a sump.

Not sure what "prime" is, but give us an update in six months.

Your phosphate remover will work better in a reactor.
