I have a long tentacle plate that I believe has brown jelly disease. This is my first encounter with it so I'm not sure if it is or not so I'm aksing you guy's to confirm it is. I first noticed it a few days ago and kept an eye on it and hasn't grown much since first notice. You can see it to the right side of the opening.
I tried siphoning the crap with a turkey baster but I might have done more damage than good (The big tear to the left I believe was my fault). Other that this damaged area the plate seems healthy and is puffing up nicely. My only other corals are montipora cap, montipora encrusting, frogspawn and a favia; are they in danger? Id rather loose the plate (which sucks cuz its the biggest and brightest thing in my tank) than having the disease infect my tank.
Should I get some iodine and do a RO-iodine dip?
