Hi all,

I introduce a wild colony 4days ago.
and after 1day I lost 5 wild colony of sps.
saw a layer of brown jelly like, covering my sps and within hours all gone to white skeleton.
the brown jelly kill my torch coral as well. started from my LPS torch coral and later on to all the wild colony.

i did 60% water change and now look back to normal.

wondering do brown jelly desease really attack sps? any idea?

it is from the organic die off. basically, it happens when you either just set up a new tank, add a bunch of new stuff at once, or have some live colony that dies.

yes ''BROWN JELLY INFECTION'' can indeed wipeout SPS. Its some type of protazoan from what I recall. I've had it in the past and it kills fast fast.
huge purple digitata colony wiped out in less than 2 days.

It's a ciliate that infests corals. Revive dips, and removal of necrotic areas are good ideas.

Did u manage to secure any frags?

Yes, it does also affect sps.
it's very very sad to c them turn white, & i thought brown jelly only attack LPS.
