Brown Residue Question

Doing some weekly maintenance on the tank... saw this in the sump.


Not sure what it is... or should I be concerned? Its kinda through out... on my skimmer, etc.

I would think it is just algae film. Does it wipe off easily?

Yea its probably algae film like bigjohn said. Should wipe off easily unless dried onto the glass but a splash of water will make it soft again
