Brown sores on Hippo Tang...

Hi all,

My Regal has developed some brownish sores or spots on both sides of his body. I have recently added a few fish to the tank, and he seems to be hiding a bit more in his little piece of LR that has a hole in it (cave) and I am wondering if it is disease, or some kind of irritation from touching the LR while he hides...

Ill try and get a picture, but he is pretty hard to coax out unless its feeding time, and then he moves pretty fast.

Any ideas of what it could be?

BTW Water Parameters are almost 0 ammonia (water change is Friday), 0 Nitrate, 0 Nitrite, and 8.1 PHwhich I am buffering right now to get to 8.3...
