My tank is 6 months and I have mainly just fish and inverts in the tank. If you want to know everything I have just say so but for now I want to ask about this brown algae like stuff that appears on my substrate.
I've have green hair alglae that grows in small clumps. Its not hard to get rid of and I cant siphon it out quiet easily. But more often than I like, there is a brown golden color algae/bacteria appears on substrate. I can siphon it out but it usually comes back stronger and darker. I use to do a 10% percent water change every two weeks but now I do a 5% water change once a week. These water changes aren't helping the algae problem.
Are there certain critters I can buy that eats this stuff? Sorry I dont have a pic.
