BRS doser placement

My sump is about 6 ft from where I would like to place my dosing bottles. I can either put the pump right over the bottle and then run a long line to the sump or put the pumps over the sump and have them pull a long way from the bottle.

Which is better for a brs dosing pump. Push a long distance or pull a long distance? It would be best for me to have the dosers and bottles together with a longer line to the sump.

I would have them push the length, but on these types of pumps it shouldn't matter

Put the dosers closer to the bottles, it is easier for most perstaltic pumps to puch rather than draw. I have mine in my basement about 4' above my jugs, and pushing up about 5'. They draw exactly as they should, and priming is no prblem. These are the"drews" style pumps.
