BRS Dual GFO Carbon Reactor owners

Thirsty
I have one of these and every time I change the GFO and carbon I find that the GFO gets tons of air bubbles and I have to bang on the unit to get them out? Does anyone own one and do you have a system that works. I also had GFO creep into the carbon chamber and so forth. I'm really tired of the issues and not sure if I'm just doing something wrong? I have the MJ1200 on super low, so it's not like I'm just jamming water in there full bore.

Thanks

I had similar issues with the air, but instead of banging the air out, I just leave it and within 8-12 hrs, it's all gone. As for the the seepage, I don't have that issue and leave the gap b/t the Phos ban and the carbon like the video on the BRS website shows. I have a different issue, the rio pump powering the GFO is a lot stronger then the MJ, but within a week, the grime and gunk gets caught in the lower chamber and it barely passes water. I have mine located in my sump, I was thinking of somehow moving it to my display area if I can hide it. I shut it off if I stir up the garbage like during water changes.

I have a dual chamber and just fill it with GFO so I am not sure if I have seepage. As far as air bubbles, I agree with what Dave & Monica said.
