Bruise or infection? Should I treat?

Bought a wrasse in QT. LFS says it was probably from fighting but he she will be ok. Can someone identify and is there something I should treat for? Thanks

I'd keep up with your water changes for the next couple of days and see if condition improves. If it doesn't get any better, I'd try some antibiotics to see if that helps with this wound.

also if possible, soak the food in some Selcon.

Not trying to be mean or anything but why would you buy the fish if it had something wrong with it? Was it cheaper?

Hell no!

The only things I would take a risk with are ich and Lymphocystis.

Sores, red patches and open ulcers could be anything from benign infections and injuries to the really really bad stuff.
