Ok guys, IF you looked closely to that thread. I posted stuffs in there as well. I've read from beginning to end of that thread, even though it's very very long.....Dosing Mg WILL work to a certain extent, but some of your corals and inverts WILL suffer!!!! I've measured and tested on a daily basis, YES it got rid of it, but it started to come back just as fierce. The second time it wasn't as easy to get rid of it. I believe I posted that I've tried just about EVERYTHING that was posted on the web. I've fought bryopsis for 4 years, I can tell you my best method is to never have gotten it in the first place. Take a loss and toss out whatever it is attached to right from the start. Or train your fish to eat it! I hope John(gsusfreak) sees what I'm posting here, he have seen my tank before and after bryopsis and he can tell you what a BIG difference my tangs made. Also a sea hare helped with the process. BUT I do have to say, watch the pump intakes with the sea hare, they like to climb on it. Plus once the algae is gone, give the sea hare to someone else unless your able to feed it algae sheets. I learned that the hard way when it died on me. I tried feeding algae sheets but the darn tangs steals it from the poor starving sea hare....
