Thanks all for the responses and no Zoom...you did not offend me. If I didn't expect honest answers, critical or otherwise I wouldn't have asked a question in a public forum.
I am learning a lot quickly about this hobby and yes there is a lot to learn. I read one book on the hobby before I dove in...the basics I guess you can say and thought I would be doing the right thing by going to a reputable dealer that has been in business 20+ years instead of one of the big box stores where the people don't know crap. I am currently reading a couple of more much more in depth reads on the topic.
I guess what I gathered about the BTAs were that yes they were delicate, but also the most hardy of the anoemones. It also seemed like many people having trouble had to do with poor lighting, etc, which I did not spare any expense on.
I didn't learn of this forum or others like it until after the purchase; however I will certainly use it as a reference as I continue to learn more about the hobby.
I agree, the popular consensus is that I should have waited and in hindsight would have. On the positive side, my BTA appears to be doing well...looks, appetite, etc.
From the feedback, I have also learned that you have to be your own advocate for the decisions of what is best for your tank and charges. I will certainly look to the forum for advice in the future.
Thanks again everyone.
