Hi. Here's some history:
Broke down 65 w/ T-5 lighting and transferred 1 of 5 BTA Clones (had for nearly 2 years) to my new Nano Cube 28 w/ 150 w HQI on March 29. All LR and stock and 75% of H2O came from 65 (well established aquarium). BTA was looking good:
Last Tuesday, I noticed her closing up a bit. I also completed my 65 transfer and added a few new critters to the Nano Cube. I added a Peppermint Shrimp from the 65 and purchased a pair of tank raised Ocellaris. She was closing prior to these additions, however I did see the shrimp attempt to remove a small particle of food from her and she closed even more. She has not opened fully at since then and the last 3 days has been slammed shut like this:
Tested water yesterday (do so weekly) and did a 1 gallon WC (intend to do so weekly)
SG=1.025
pH=8.2
alk=3.0 meq/l
calc=360
Nitrates=undetectable (Salifert kit, no apparent color change to me)
Temp=steady 78f
Every other coral looks great and is opened normally.
Should I be concerned or is this a normal thing for a BTA. To reiterate, she's been doing great since March 29 and started to close up on about April 7-8.
Other livestock (came from 65 - so the BTA has been with them)
Mushroom Leather
Sinularia Leather
Kenya Tree Leather
Zoas
Ricordea
Montipora cap.
Pulsing Xenia
Nothing is near enough to touch the BTA. The new clowns don't show her any interest at all.
Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions.
