BTA Colors

I know about the typical red, green, and tan, and I've seen pictures of orange, yellow, etc... Are there any other colors? Has anyone seen a blue or purple? Mixed colors? I'm sure vendors are out there with the royal blue or actinics and heavy photoshop, but let's try not to include those in the discussion. :)

Just curious to see what is out there.

Pictures of any bubble tip would be appreciated.

If you read more on the forums and myself included bta will change colors when different lighting is used. I purchased some red's out of California and some changed to speckles ,some went to yellow . In my opinion it,s all about the lighting. A yellow or lemon is a bleached colorado red . Hope this helps . Only nems that don't seem to shift in color are mertens and hadoni and gigantea . auto spell stinks

I havr a frosted rainbow. Its not a rose and its seems to have more orange in it now.. some one in my avaitor. Love it. I also have a rainbow rose.

einthec what r u looking for that might help

I'm not really looking for anything specific. I want to have a number of different colors as the tank will have BTAs and nothing else. Just curious to see what else is out there.

I plan on using Metal Halides with some LED supplements (and dawn to dusk application).

Click webstore and you will get to the nems.

Maybe it was my phone earlier, or there was a glitch. Anyway, I'm on an iPad now and can see the store portion. Those BTA's have good potential, but I'm willing to bet there's some serious photoshop going on.

What is it that makes you think there is photoshop being done if I may ask?

Here is a shot of my BTA

Evsalty, nice BTA.

Regarding the photoshop comment from before- those are some incredibly colored (almost unbelievably so) anemones, and I'm very skeptical of online vendors in general.

Over here in the UK the colour range of bubble tips is limited mostly to green and red ones. The red ones, however, are - increasingly - coming in different shades, from a neon pink to rose to dusky red. I've got a neon pink one [sorry, no camera at the moment, but hope to get a pic up soon] and heard some of our fish shop owners talk about purple bubble tips being out there, but I've yet to see one in the flesh!

The other thing that seems to be happening over in the UK is that - perhaps coupled with the advent of better LED lighting - more and more reefers are producing and selling bubble tips that are the result of division in their tanks. I expect that pretty soon we may get with anemones what's happened with acroporas, where the best colour forms are spread about the hobby.
