I have read where BTA's will move to location in the tank that has desirable conditions for them- flow, lighting, suitable crevice to place their foot...etc. So I'm confused on 1 thing concerning lighting requirements. It would seem to me that if a light is strong enough for one in a 16" deep tank, then the same light would be ok over a 32" deep tank, if taking into consideration that the rockwork on both tanks approach near the top water line. In other words, if an anemone is under a suitable light that is 10" above him, does it matter how much more water is then underneath? I can understand if they have a habit of searching for the lowest part of the tank to take up residence that you would need the lighting to be strong enough even if he were to attach to the bottom substrate. It just seems to me that you could keep one in a swimming pool if you have enough light at near the surface and rockwork that approaches the surface- given that they will move to an area that they find has suitable conditions. Is this wrong?
