BTA eating?

I fed my RBTA some silversides earlier and it ate them with no problem. But now it is spitting it out. this has been happening for a while and i want to know what is the matter. Are RBTA's picky eaters, or has it had its fill and just getting rid of the rest?

You're feeding too big a piece!
You fed it some silversides!
It better be about 2 feet across to eat more than one.

My RBTA is about 8"- 9" and she gets a third of a silverside every 5 or 6 days.
About 24 hours later she expells what looks like a calcium pellet after digestion of the partial silverside.
