BTA help!

I have been battling with my new BTA for 2 weeks now. I put him in the tank and he immediately retreated to a cave in a dark area. He stayed there for 4 days just shriveled up. I thought that was excessive.

I eventually turned the rock to have it in the light. It thrived and looked great, like it did in the LFS. Than a few hours later back in the cave. I repeated this again and again because it looked awful. Same thing. He got huge looked great, even ate, then 2 days later back in the cave but this time his face was buried against a rock.

Tried this one more time as it was really small yesterday and the tentacles were barely visible. He thrived but this morning back to a dark area.

I am using US Current Orbit IC LED Lights. They are on the weaker end but have been doing fine for my other coral in the tank.

I currently have Blues set to 50% Whites 10% Green 5% and Red 5%. I have changed these a few times because I thought the light was the issue.

Do I just need to leave it alone for a while and let it figure things out? Or is this thing dying?

I don't know if it's dying - maybe a pic would help people? I have Current Orbit Marine Pro and mine seems to be doing ok. He hid at first but only a couple days. He's moved down slightly (1" or so) and is about 7" down in the tank. I wouldn't move him though, that will be more stress. I just posted a pic of mine in a thread called is my anemone splitting. I've had it 2 months. My tank is a year old. I think 80' might be a little warm - I keep 78 and a store owner told me to move it down to 76, haven't yet, but might.

My BTA has picked back of the tank behind a rock. I can’t even feed him there. I hope he is managing to snag some food. What I can see of him looks healthy. Weird critters!

Really? I too have the Current Orbit Marine Pro and can't keep those anemones. Tried it with TWO BTAs. Both shriveled up and died. I can only keep some mushrooms, a Yellow Fiji and a few other softies. Trying to get back into reefing after going FOWLR for almost two years - I'm shooting to get some Radions by the end to this year. I want to grow some Acroporas and Montiporas and Birds Nests.
