i want to do a clown pair/bta setup.

i have a 20gal long thats not being used. will it be big enough?
30 x 12 x 12

What type of lighting do you plan on using and what type of filtration system? I have seen people keep RBTAs in 12 gal nano cubes for over two years - but they are religious about keeping the water pristine.

I have a 15 gallon setup with no filtration and T-5 lighting that has been running long term. It houses a pair of B&W clowns and their RBTA. Of course as bristlewormking stated, I am religeous about water changes. It works for me, but it doesn't for everyone. Good luck and best wishes :)

20 long will be fine for some time if you start with a small specimen ... especially the colonial variety. Make sure that you get a clone .... you have a better chance that it will split at a smaller size....

No. BTAs can grow more than two feet in diameter.

Humans can grow to 7'10" ... lol.

Have you ever kept a BTA? You got a picture of your 2'+ BTA?

Mine made it to about 11 inches and split. I don't think it will ever make it to the 2+ feet ha-ha. I also think it is funny how protective we are of anemones but many support taking a razor and cutting them in half to make a split lol. I think if you don't put anything else in your 20L you could do it. If you notice your BTA is out growing it you can always get a 25 or something to place it in.

i have a PFO mini pendant 150 watts MH 13k gieseman bulb.

right now i have a 15gal bowfront 18 x 14 x 14.

i do WC once a week. 3 - 5 gals.

will i be able to keep one in my current tank. or should i just transfer it to my 20long?

I say it's ok in the 15 for a few if you buy a small one and there are no other sessile inhabitants .... ones that you care about anyway.
