BTA isn't sticky.

Calappidae

Harlequin Shrimp
I got a BTA from the lfs and it is not sticky.. this isn't the first time. Today I asked if I could touch all their bta's to find one that's sticky.. all of them just slipped out of my hand.. couldn't even grab them.

Brought one home as I know these recover..

Any ideas?

Depends on your definition of sticky. BTA are the least sticky of nems as far as I've touched. They don't always fire a shot at you. I've handled fully healthy bta and not felt a thing and I've handle fully healthy bta that stuck to my fingers. I wouldn't take it as a "death sign" with a bta. In a few days or a week see if it will grab food and eat.

Carpets on the other hand, you know they are sticky.. Can't remove that sucker from your hand hahaha.

If I were to pick him up, he slips out of my hand. I tried feeding him some mysis.. couldn't hold on to it.

Now he's moving downward under the rock (which I'll ignore and let be)
