BTA Light Acclimation Question

I received a Green BTA from ReefHotSpot this morning. I drip acclimated it for approximately two hours and introduced into my 40BR. I have 4 24" HO T5's for lighting. I turned the lights off when I introduced it into my tank around noon. I also fashioned a light shield from window screening and placed it over the middle of my tank where I'm hoping the BTA will settle. I've left the lights off all day. Would it be appropriate to resume my normal lighting cycle tomorrow morning with the light shield in place? And, how long should I continue using the shield? I have several layers of window screening and I plan to slowly remove layers as appropriate.

Yes, you should be able to resume your normal light schedule. I would say remove a layer every few days. Do you know what kind of light the anemone was under at the dealer? If it was intense lighting, you might not need to acclimate. I would ask them.

Every time I have used window screening, I left the lighting photo period as is. I use 3 layers and remove a layer every 5-7 days.

My experience is they will walk the tank until they find a spot they like. If it's too bright they will move, if it's not enough they will move.
