I'm considering getting rid of my lta and getting a bta i just upgraded my lighting to a coralife 2x65watt PC fixture, will a BTA do better with this lighting than my LTA? I want a nice colored anenome for my maroon. tank is 30gl with a 10gl fuge,

I've read where some have reported successfully keeping anemones with only PC lighting. But generally speaking, I think they would have a better chance to survive and thrive under more intense lighting. I've kept my BTA's under no less than T5's and MH.

Before I upgraded to a 46, I had a 10G reef with a BTA. I only used a PC made by Current. The BTA did fine. Before I moved it over to the 46 it lived for about 6 months in the 10G with the PC.

BTA will do quite well under PC lighting. The lighting you have should be adequate for a BTA in a 30g tank. Be sure to keep on top of your water quality and make sure he has good crevices in which to place his foot. A taller rock structure is also good since it will allow him to adjust his distance from the lights.

my other main problems with anenomes has been receding into shady rock structures where they cant get any light and start to die off, should i get a relativly large one to prevent him from doing this.
