BTA lights

so my 75g is about ready, and i still dont have lights.

i should do a canopy, with 2x250w mh, and then 2 or 4 T5's (if they'll fit.
10k mh and super blue or super actinic T5s.

two remote electronic MH ballasts and 2 remote T5 ballasts, all with different timers...2 T5, 4 T5, 4 T5 + east MH, 4T5+2MH, 4T5+west MH, 4T5, 2T5, nothing, east lunar, etc.

i just dont want to build the canopy...i'm not sure how or what i need/want to do.


if i buy a fixture, i can get pretty close to that--but its $400 on ebay for a knockoff (and probably pc instead of T5) or $800+ for name brands.

i was thinking i could put the whole thing off by buying a knockoff T5 fixture cheap now, and then building a canopy sometime in the spring.

my nems are in a 44g w/175 MH now.

1) can i go cheap t5's for six months?
2) advice on a canopy?
3) advice on a fixture?
4) advice on light management?

Personally, I would not skimp on lighting. It's one of the more important things you can provide for your photosynthetic friends.
