BTA losing its tips...

I bought a BTA from the my lfs about a month ago and the tips were thick and it looked great. It stayed the same way in my tank for a few days and then the tips started to get long and stringy. I talked to the owner at the store and he said that when the anenomes get this way it is because they are hungry. Is this the case? I only feed it krill about once a week. He also said it could be because my temperature is too high. The temp on my tank is around 79-80, and he said it should be around 74-75. Do I need to be feeding it more often and try and get the temp down? Anything else I need to do? I have 150watts MH over a 24 gallon nanocube, ammonia is at 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 0, ph 8.3-4, salinty 1.025
thanks in advance

Your temp is not too high. Short stubby tenticles means its hungry. LFS is wrong! Sounds normal to me! I do feed mine 2 - 3 times a week, portions no bigger than their mouth.

yeah BTA's seem to loose their bubble tips in captivity, it is not clear why they do this and what really effects it. Most people think it's due to lighting or feeding. Its nothing to be worried about.
