Ive had my GBTA for about a month now. My camera isnt working so i couldnt take a picture but i will soon. The best way i can explain it is on and off throughout the day it gets from the size of a softball too the size of a dime(all deflated). I know its not dead and i feed it all the time so i was just wondering if its just not feelin well or what? im not too worried because every once and a while he comes back lookin fine but an hour later ill look at the tank and its all deflated about the size of a dime. Also its mouth is not tightly shut. Im sure its fine just wondering whats goin on?

This doesn't sound normal. Their mouths should always be closed tightly. Sorry that I really cant help you much but I would be a little concerned. Does the anemone move around at all? How often are you feeding? How is your water looking?

See what happens is when you feed it really often, anemones have to dispose of waste just like any other creature more often. Unfortunately since its such a simple organism, it has only one hole in its body. It takes food in its mouth and gets rid of waste through its mouth. When an anemone gets rid of waste, it shrinks. What type of food are your feeding it and how big are the food morsels?

no hes not movin.. once a day.... water conditions r almost perfect.

But what are the actually numbers?? Your definition of perfect could be different from mine (or others)

No worries, a bit crabby tonight.
Home theatre is just my second money pit ;) I really don't want to figure out which one I've spent more money on.

Okay, so how often do you feed your BTA? With what and what amount? What fish (if any) do you have in the tank?
My 2 BTAs and 3 RBTAs will only close up about once a week.
Yours doing it as often as you say isn't normal, something is bothering it. Any changes to the tank since this started?
